Iran looks to continue developing joint oil, gas fields next Iranian year

TEHRAN, Iran, March. 25

Trend:

Iran will continue development of joint oil and gas fields in the new Iranian year (began on March 21), Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Karim Zobeidi said.

“The installation of the Platform of Salman joint oilfield at the end of the last Iranian year (ended on March 20) amid the sanctions, reflect the strength of the Iranian oil industry,” Zobeidi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"This year, although we will be looking to export Iranian oil more than ever before, development projects in the oil industry will continue,” he said.

"We will eliminate the restrictions on oil sales in different ways and we have been successful so far."

In recent years, Iran has been trying to increase its share of exploitation of the common oil and gas fields.

Meanwhile, some of the common fields, such as the West Karun Oil Fields and South Pars, have been a priority for the oil industry. As far as the daily harvest of these fields is concerned, Iran is far ahead of its neighbors.
