Oil transportation via Ceyhan Kirikkale pipeline through Turkey down

Almost 2.5 million barrels of oil were transported via Ceyhan Kirikkale oil pipeline through Turkey in February 2020, which is 14.7 percent less than in the same period of last year, when 2.9 million barrels of oil were transported via the pipeline, Trend reports referring to the statistics data posted on the official website of Turkey’s BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation.

From January through February 2020, about 5.2 million barrels of oil were transported via the pipeline through Turkey.

In total, 34.9 million barrels of oil were transported through Ceyhan-Kirikkale pipeline through Turkey in 2019, which is 10.3 percent more than in 2018 and makes up about 31.3 million barrels of oil.

The oil transportation through Ceyhan-Kirikkale pipeline was launched in 1986. The 448 kilometer-Ceyhan-Kirikkale oil pipeline with a capacity of 7.2 million tons per year transports crude oil to the Kirikkale refinery in central Turkey.
