Iran reveals electricity export volume

TEHRAN, Iran, April 13

Iran Electricity Network Management Company announced that 661 MW of electricity was exported from the country as of April 11.

The total electricity exchange in the country was 817 MW, of which 156 MW amounted to electricity imports, the Electricity Network Management Company of Iran announced, Trend reports citing IRNA.

As of April 11, the amount of electricity consumption in the country increased to 35,656 MW, while by that day last year, the amount of electricity consumed was 31,965 MW, which shows a growth of about 4,000 MW.

The amount of electricity consumed by industries has increased to 4,813 MW as of April 11.

The country's electricity reserves by the same day amounted to 3,752 MW.

Electricity generation from renewable energy has reached 3,108 megawatts, the company said.
