Turkmenistan increasing oil production

The volume of oil produced in Turkmenistan is growing, Trend reports with reference to the Online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan.

Turkmennebit State Concern is currently working on development of deposits in the Turkmen section of the Caspian Sea.

Oil production from January through March of this year compared to the first quarter of last year, has increased, meanwhile 14 new wells have been commissioned.

Compared to the mentioned period of last year, 1Q2020 produced 21,500 tons of oil, which is 4,155 tons more than originally planned.

Meanwhile, the Goturdepe administration on capital repair of wells put 44 wells into operation. These wells produced an additional 13,000 tons of oil.

Modern, foreign technologies and drilling rigs were used by the state concern in the mentioned drilling work, among them - German’s Bentek, Chinese’s ZJ-70 DS and Russia’s Uralmash.

Currently, Turkmenistan is carrying out wells repairs at a depth of 3,500-4000 meters.
