BAKU, Azerbaijan, Apr. 25

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Preventive maintenance at Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery will be launched on Apr. 25, 2020 instead of previously planned May 25, Trend reports with reference to KazMunayGas company.

The company said that originally the preventive maintenance at the plant was to be carried out from May 15 to June 13, 2020.

However, in order to comply with the emergency state requirements, a corresponding analysis was carried out to ensure the safe repair of the plant.

“To ensure safety of the plant’s personnel, the work schedules and the operating hours of contractors were revised applying an eight-hour work schedule, which allows to reduce the constraint on the repair personnel at the sites during work, in places of catering and during personnel transportation,” the report said.

Thus, in order to carry out the full scope of work during the emergency state regime, a decision was made to start the maintenance work on April 25, 2020.

At the same time Atyrau and Shymkent refineries will operate as usual.

KazMunayGas National Company is Kazakhstan's national operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state in Kazakhstan's petroleum sector.

The company accounts for 25 percent of crude oil and gas condensate production, as well as 15 percent of natural and associated gas production domestically. Its trunklines are used to transport 56 percent of Kazakhstan's oil and 79 percent of gas.
