Water and electricity related facilities worth some 11 trillion rials ($261 million), will be commissioned in the Ilam province in western Iran tomorrow (April 30), said Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian, Trend reports citing ministry.
According to Ardakanian, the facilities to irrigate 22,000 hectares of land in Ilam province will be inaugurated.
Ardakanian added that during the current government of Iran (the current government of Iran has been in power since August 2013 and will change in August 2021), the area of irrigated land will reach 301,000 hectares. And so far, 150,000 people have been employed in this area.
About 250 water, electricity and sewerage facilities are planned to be commissioned in Iran in the current Iranian year (starting from March 20, 2020). About 500 trillion rials (about $11.9 billion) have been allocated for these facilities.
