National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) produced a number of equipment and spare parts last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), vital for non-stop drilling processes, said Behnoud Mansournejad head of NIDC's Technology and Engineering Department, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
According to Mansournejad, this equipment and spare parts were manufactured in Khuzestan province with cooperation of local specialists and manufacturers.
Mansournejad added that until now, the mentioned equipment was manufactured only by a few foreign companies. He added that more than 6,900 pieces of equipment and spare parts used in the drilling industry were produced.
The official said that in total, the production of this equipment and spare parts saved 450 billion rials (about $10.7 million).
"A number of equipment and spare parts will be produced for the first time in the country with cooperation of startup companies and manufacturers in this year (starting from March 20, 2020)," he said.
