Production programs have been determined in all joint oil and gas fields of Iran, except for one Iranian oil field, director of the integrated planning at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Karim Zobeidi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
According to Zobeidi, the plans to develop Iran's oil and gas fields with other countries are being implemented.
Zobeidi added that the condition of just one oil field has not been identified. This field is small and the opposite country has no production from this field. But the official did not disclose other details about the field.
"Development plans are being implemented in the west of the Karun River. "Iran's production in the joint fields is higher than that of Iraq," he said.
The official said that works at Iran's Farzad A and Farzad B gas fields, which are shared with Saudi Arabia, are nearing completion.
Zobeidi said that drilling of wells will begin with the installation of the platform in the 11th phase of Iran-Qatar joint South Pars gas field (this field is called North Dome in Qatar).
According to the official, it is planned to increase production from Iran's South Pars gas field. At present, Iran produces more gas in this field than Qatar.
The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum plans to increase production from joint oil and gas fields west of the Karun River, develop the phases of the South Pars gas field, and decide on a contractor for the Farzad A and Farzad B gas fields.
