National Iranian Oil Company announces products for sale at IRENEX

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) will sell four products at the Iranian Energy Exchange (IRENEX), said Amir Hossein Tebyanian, a representative of the NIOC at the IRENEX, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.

According to Tebyanian, 333,000 tons of diesel will be sold at the international floor on May 18.

Tebyanian added that on May 19, 200,000 barrels of gas condensate and 35,000 tons of mazut (380 centistokes) of the South Pars Gas Company will be sold at the international floor.

The official said that NIOC also will sell 90,000 tons of fuel oil (380 centistokes fuel oil) on May 20.

"Those who want to participate in the purchase must pay 10 percent of the purchase price at the expense of the NIOC before the sale begins," he said.

In 2018, following the US sanctions, the National Iranian Oil Company's crude oil exports decreased, so NIOC started selling its products at IRENEX to diversify the sales of oil and oil products.

The US imposed new sanctions on Iran in November 2018. Over the past period, the sanctions affected Iranian oil exports, more than 700 banks, companies and individuals.
