Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy has extended deadlines for providing a copy of the notice of the beginning of construction and installation work and/or a copy of the acceptance certificate for the operation of the renewable energy facility for a period not exceeding one calendar year, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the ministry.

The extension covers energy-producing organizations using renewable energy sources and having existing purchase agreements with the Financial Settlement Center of Renewable Energy LLP.

“In order to take measures to support business during the emergency state, renewable energy, energy-producing organizations using renewable energy sources were given the right to submit an appropriate appeal to the Financial Settlement Center of Renewable Energy LLP, indicating the required extension period,” the ministry said.

The amendment will be valid till Nov. 1, 2020.

On March 15, 2020, Kazakhstan’s president signed a decree introducing an emergency state in Kazakhstan due to the coronavirus outbreak, which came in force on March 16 and was to last till April 15, 2020.
