BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1
By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:
A total of 117 billion cubic meters of gas were produced by Shah Deniz gas and condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea from first gas in 2006 to the end of 2019, Trend reports citing BP in Azerbaijan Sustainability Report 2019.
The table below shows the volume of gas and condensate production at the field:

Shah Deniz participating interests are: BP (operator – 28.8 percent), TPAO (19.0 percent), AzSD (10.0 percent), SGC Upstream (6.7 percent), PETRONAS (15.5 percent), LUKOIL (10.0 percent) and NICO (10.0 percent).
The Shah Deniz field continued to provide reliable deliveries of gas to markets in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey and to BTC Company in multiple locations in 2019. The field produced about 16.8 billion standard cubic metres (bcm) of gas and 3.6 million tonnes (about 28.6 million barrels) of condensate in 2019.
The Shah Deniz gas field was discovered in 1999. It lies 70km offshore beneath water depths ranging from 50 to 600 metres. The field has a reservoir depth of more than 1,000 metres and is 22km long. Shah Deniz is geologically challenging and highly pressured with multiple reservoir horizons.
