TEHRAN, Iran, June 6
Trend:
To increase production of a 4th refinery at the South Pars Gas field some 28 million cubic meters of gas per day can be transferred there from the Kish gas field, said the refinery's managing director Behzad Salari, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"If the gas processing is reviewed to be good, and the gas delivery compression is set, it is possible to transfer gas from the Kish field to increase the feed for gas compressors," he said.
He said that adding 28 million cubic meter gas per day from Kish gas field to platforms of the fourth refinery in South Pars would lead to production of 15.5 million cubic meters gas per day.
"The increase of feed by 20 percent to gas turbines would improve production from 64.5 million cubic meters per day to 78 million cubic meters," he said.
"Receiving gas from Kish gas field would also increase the gas export from the refinery by 22 percent," Salari added.
"The gas would not affect the quality of produced gas that is expected to be send to Bushehr Petrochemical Plant from the South Pars field," he said.
"In general, the gas transfer capacity to Bushehr Petrochemical Plant would increase from 208 tons per hour to more than 230 tons per hour," Salari said.
