Thermal Power Plants in the Gilan Province (northern Iran) generated 1.37 million megawatt hours of electricity in the third month (May 21-June 20, 2020), Manager on electricity sales of Gilan Regional Electric Company (GILREC) Mohsen Babazadeh said, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Energy of Iran.
Babazadeh said that this amount of electricity was produced at 5 stations in the province.
The official added that Parasar TPP has the potential to produce 968 megawatt hours, Shahid Beheshti TPP has the potential to produce 360 megawatt hours of electricity.
“Gilan TPP can produce more than 1,300 megawatt hours and Gil and Azer TPP 2 megawatt hours of electricity a year,” he said.
Babazadeh also said that the Caspian thermal power plant has the capacity to produce 25 megawatt hours of electricity.
In total, Iran's thermal power plants have the capacity to generate 83,000 megawatt hours of electricity.
