LUKOIL sees rise in sales of petroleum products in Turkey

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29

LUKOIL PETROL DAGITIM VE PAZARLAMA A.S. sold a total of 982.202 tons of petroleum products in Turkey’s domestic market in April 2020, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

The company sold 66.236 tons of gasoline and 915.966 tons of diesel.

This is while in April 2019, the company’s sales of petroleum products in Turkey totaled 5,917 tons, including 5,891 tons of diesel and 26 tons of gasoline.

LUKOIL PETROL DAGITIM VE PAZARLAMA A.S. sold 27,266 tons of petroleum products in Turkey from January through April 2020, versus 19,896 tons in the same period of 2019.

The company sold 220.299 tons of gasoline and 27,046 tons of diesel in Turkey from January through April 2020, compared to 113 tons of gasoline and 19,783 tons of diesel in the same period of 2019.

PJSC LUKOIL entered the Turkish market in 1998 by starting its bunkering business in the country.

After obtaining a distributor’s license, the company chose to actively promote its fuels in the retail market. Its first gas station opened in Turkey in 2006, and by late 2007 the total number of gas stations reached 70.

The company’s operations in Turkey currently cover the following areas: wholesale and retail marketing of petroleum and gas products, jet fuel, lubes and petrochemicals.
