As many as 281 various spare parts for equipment used in Iran's oil and gas sector were produced domestically with the support of Iran's Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 - March 20, 2020), said Fardin Bahrampour Deputy Director of the company, Trend reports citing National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company’s official portal.
Bahrampour emphasized that 14,030 spare parts were produced domestically in the last Iranian year.
The official said that by manufacturing this many spare parts allowed Iran to save over 128 billion rials (about $3.04 million) on imports of spare parts.
Bahrampour said that so far, 5,000 types of spare parts have been produced as a result of support for domestic production, as well as using the company's capabilities. The number of these spare parts is 552,000.
“One of the main priorities of the company is to prevent the outflow of foreign currency from the country, reduce dependence on the foreign country, the production of spare parts within the country, he said.
The Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company plant processes 350,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensate per day. In this regard, the company ranks third among Iranian oil refining companies.
