Turkmenbashi oil refineries disclose volume of processed crude oil

Turkmenistan's Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries processed 2.9 million tons of crude oil in 1H2020, having exceeded the plan by 3 percent, Trend reports with reference to Arzuw news information portal.

The half-year production plan for automobile gasoline was exceeded by 4.4 percent, for diesel fuel - by 5.1 percent, for kerosene – 1.3 percent, for lubricating oils – 4.7 percent, for polypropylene – 5.9 percent, and for liquefied gas – 80.7 percent.

The design capacity of the company allows it to annually produce more than 2 million tons of fuel oil, as well as process 250,000 tons of liquefied gas and 230,000 tons of low-octane gasoline.

Turkmenistan produced a significant amount of oil in 1H2020, said the report.

Thus, the plan for oil and gas condensate production was exceeded by 7.6 percent, oil refining - by 2.6 percent, gasoline production – by 5.1 percent, and diesel fuel – by 5.1 percent. The growth rate of liquefied gas production reached 12.2 percent.

The country plans to introduce digital technologies in oil companies, as well as improve the production of concerns taking into account the fact that prices for hydrocarbon resources have fallen in the world, the reports said.
