Uzbekneftegaz JSC will purchase spare parts for repair and drilling from local producers, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekneftegaz.
The company administration has defined specific tasks and responsibilities for cooperation with local producers.
Recently, employees of Uzbekneftegaz studied were familiarized with operations of Gidro Stanko Servis LLC, located in the country's Navoi region.
The companies reached preliminary agreements on the development of spare parts for well-drilling and workover equipment at the production base of Gidro Stanko Servis LLC to substitute their import.
Gidro Stanko Servis produces gearboxes for mining, oil and gas and chemical industries, as well as roller conveyors and spare parts. The company also has a design office, welding shop, metal heat treatment shop and production shop.
In 1H2020, Uzbekneftegaz produced goods worth 532 billion soum ($51.9 million) under the localization program and reduced imports of goods to $137.7 million. The cost of production was reduced by 189 billion soum ($18.4 million).
Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
