SOCAR Ukraine bids for shipment services for Odessa Port Plant

SOCAR Ukraine Trading House, Ukrainian subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR bids for customer of works on toll processing and services of final product shipment for Odessa Port Plant (PJSC OPP), Trend reports with reference to OPP.

Aside from SOCAR Ukraine, Odessa Port Plant has received qualification proposals from the following participants: IBE TRADE CORP., MADDOX SA, OKKO CONTRACT and AGRO GAS TRADING LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY.

The selection process shall continue in due course.

The principal purpose of the enterprise is production of ammonia, urea and of some other chemical by-products. The Plant also does the transshipping of products made by other enterprises from Ukraine and Russia, such as: ammonia, urea, methanol, and UAN They come to OPP transshipment terminals by railway or through a 2471 km long pipeline Togliatti-Gorlovka-Odessa.

Odessa Port Plant consists of two ammonia production units, two urea production units, An ammonia transshipment terminal, an urea transshipment terminal, a methanol transshipment terminal and a UAN transshipment terminal.

The plant products are in demand on the domestic market, but they are mostly exported - about 85 percent are shipped to more than 30 countries around the world.
