Uzbekneftegaz JSC has completed restoration work at Bateman booster compressor station of Shurtan oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz press service.
"Earlier, such a comprehensive repair was carried out in cooperation with foreign specialists. This time, the restoration work at the Bateman booster compressor station was carried out by the employees of the Shurtan oil and gas production department," the message said.
The Bateman booster station was shut down due to a malfunction in the compressor of Gas Compressor Unit # 3.
The task was fulfilled by the employees of Uzbekneftegaz and the Shurtan oil and gas production department according to schedule.
As a result, gas compressor unit #3 was put into operation thus, preventing a decrease in the uninterrupted production of natural gas.
The Bateman booster compressor station is located in Guzar district of Kashkadarya region, four gas-pumping units of which are capable of pumping 13 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The station is equipped with gas pumping units manufactured by Dresser Rand and General Electric companies from the USA.
Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.
