TEHRAN, Iran, Aug.17

Trend:

Esfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) is to establish a fuel gas desulfurization unit to be commissioned during next four years, said the Managing Director of EORC.

"The unit would reduce environmental impact and supply products based on Euro 4 and 5 standards," said Morteza Ebrahimi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The sulfur granulation unit's operations will comply with environmental standards and its production capacity is 300 tons per day," Ebrahimi said. "The company has purchased 60-megawatt power from national power network to supply sulfur granulation units and reduce water consumption."

"The refinery currently receives 16 megawatts of electricity that reduces water consumption by 80 cubic meters per hour, while commissioning of the new units will reduce water consumption by 400 cubic meters per hour," the managing director said.

"So far, 80 percent of refinery equipment is produced domestically. In addition, the support unit is supplying refinery machinery including turbines, pumps, compressors, and gears,“ he added.

"The refinery has successfully produced catalysts in compliance with Euro 4 standards for gasoline production," he noted.

Esfahan Oil Refining Co is engaged in production, the processing and distribution of petroleum products including kerosene, gasoline, LPG and others.
