Kazakhstan's national oil&gas company faces revenues decrease in 1H2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 27

Revenue of Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas National Company has amounted to 2.2 trillion tenge ($5.3 billion) in 1H2020, which is 33.8 percent down year-on-year, Trend reports with reference to the company.

Company’s Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) decreased by 46.6 percent in 1H2020 compared to 1H2019 to 552 billion tenge ($1.3 billion).

The company said that its net profit decreased by 96.7 percent during the reporting period compared to the same period last year to 21 billion tenge ($50 million). Net profit for the period attributable to Equity Holders of the Parent Company amounted to 104 billion tenge ($256 million).

Company’s free cash flow (FCF) was negative at minus 5 billion tenge (negative $12 million);

Company's net debt amounted to $6.4 billion as of June 30, 2020, having increased by 4.2 percent compared to $6.1 billion at the end of 2019.

In turn, total debt was at $9.8 billion as of June 30, 2020, down by 2.1 percent compared to December 31, 2019.

KMG is the Kazakhstan operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
