About 3 billion cubic feet (about 84 million cubic meters) of gas will be extracted daily with the development of the Kish gas field in the Persian Gulf in Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), Managing Director of Iran's Pars Oil & Gas Company (POGC) Iran Mohammad Meshkinfam said, Trend reports citing POGC.
According to Meshkinfam, this is equal to the amount of gas extracted from 3 phases of Iran's South Pars gas field.
The director added that it is planned to drill 28 wells in this field, and 26 wells have been drilled so far.
The director noted that the construction of a 200-kilometers pipeline from this field to South Pars gas refinery in the Asaluyeh county of Bushehr Province (southern Iran) has begun.
Iran's Kish gas field contains 55.5 trillion cubic feet (about 1.57 billion cubic meters) of gas and 514 million barrels of gas condensate. As reported the field can be extract 38.3 trillion cubic feet (about 1.08 billion cubic meters) of gas.
According to the plan for the development of this field, 1st phase will produce 1 billion cubic feet (about 28.3 million cubic meters) of gas per day.
