Kazakhstan decreases petroleum product supplies to Azerbaijan in 1H2020

Kazakhstan has exported 56,043 tons of petroleum products to Azerbaijan over 1H2020, a source in the oil and gas market of Kazakhstan told Trend.

The value of the supplied petroleum products stood at $12.4 million. Thus, the volume of the supplied petroleum products indicates a decrease by 14.6 percent compared to the same period last year (65,673 tons in 1H2019).

In turn, the value of the supplied petroleum products is 44.1 percent less compared to the same period last year.

Kazakhstan’s overall export of petroleum products stood at 364,459 tons of products worth $1.04 million in 1H2020 which is compared to 574,297 tons worth $1.6 million in 1H2019.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan amounted to $51.3 million over 1H2020, compared to $108.4 million during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Azerbaijan amounted to $37.4 million over the period from January through June 2020, compared to $99.4 million during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Azerbaijan amounted to nearly $13.9 million over the reporting period, compared to $8.9 million during the same period of 2019.
