Gas and gas condensate inflow obtained in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara region

Several wells are being overhauled at the South Kemachi field in the Mubarek oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.

According to the instruction of the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, a major overhaul was carried out at the well No 115. After the overhaul carried out by the specialists of Uzneftegazkuduktamirlash JSC, the well was launched in a test mode.

At a depth of 2,295 m, a cement bridge was installed and perforation was made in the interval of 2,284-2,290 m. As a result of the well development, an industrial flow of gas and gas condensate was obtained.

Another old well was launched in a new state at the South Kemachi oil and gas condensate field in the Karaulbazar district of the Bukhara region.

The South Kemachi oil and gas condensate field is located in the Karaulbazar district of the Bukhara region and has been developed since 1978. Currently, the field produces oil, gas and condensate from 94 wells.

Uzbekistan is one of the leading natural gas producers in the world. The volume of natural gas production in the country in 2018 reached 61 billion cubic meters. Gas reserves in Uzbekistan are about 1.1 trillion cubic meters.

The government of Uzbekistan plans to implement 78 projects in the oil and gas sector for $30.4 billion by 2021.
