The overall progress on construction of the Integrated Gas Chemical Complex KPI in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region is 77 percent, Trend reports citing Kazakh media.

Earlier this year, KMG official said that coronavirus pandemic did have some impact on the construction and led to minor adjustments to the project. The integrated gas chemical complex project was placed under management of KMG in June 2018. Since then, the construction has entered its active phase, the progress has increased from 6 to 74 percent.

The complex will allow producing up to 500,000 tons of polypropylene annually. The construction of the plant is to be finished in 2021.
