Oil and gas pipelines of BP continue operating safely and reliably in Georgia, BP Azerbaijan told Trend.

"We are operating BP facilities in Georgia in lockdown mode, which significantly reduces possibility of infection among the personnel. BP has robust business continuity plans in place," the source said.

According to the company, BP in Georgia is closely monitoring the evolving situation and are implementing a number of measures to prevent COVID-19 spread at its facilities, complying with local public health authority mandated requirements.

"We are following closely recommendations issued by the Ministry of Healthcare of Georgia and the National Center of Disease Control and Public Health. We have processes in place to help protect and keep our employees safe at operations sites," the source said.

As the BP said, this includes stepping up cleaning and hygiene routines; providing personal protective equipment as appropriate; operating robust protocols for health checks and workplace access; social distancing and isolation measures.
