Kazakhstan's crude petroleum oil exports to France plummet year-on-year

Kazakhstan has exported 331,433 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 96.7 million euros to France in August 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 2.9 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 859.7 million euros to France over the period from Jan. through Aug. 2020.

Thus, the August volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to France is 42.8 percent less than in volume compared to July 2020 (579,463 tons) and is 1.6 times more than in Jan. 2020 (197,514 tons).

August’s export value is also 43.6 percent less than in July 2020 (171.8 million euros) and is 0.2 percent more than in Jan. 2020 (96.5 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to $1.7 billion over the first eight months of 2020, compared to $3.01 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to France amounted to $1.1 billion over the period from January through August 2020, compared to $2.5 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from France amounted to nearly $563.9 million over the reporting period, compared to $491.9 million during the same period of 2019.
