Azerbaijan generated 22.9 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from January through November 2020, which is by 4.8 percent more than from January through November 2019, Trend reports with reference to the report of the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
Some 985.8 million kilowatt-hours of that volume accounted for the production of electricity by hydroelectric power plants from January through November 2020, which is by 32.3 percent less than from January through November 2019.
Some 21.1 billion kilowatt-hours of that volume accounted for the production of electricity by thermal power plants from January through November 2020, which is by eight percent more than from January through November 2019.
Some 86.8 million kilowatt-hours of wind power were produced in Azerbaijan from January through November 2020, which is by 13.4 percent less than from January through November 2019.
Some 44 million kilowatt-hours of solar energy were produced from January through November 2020, which is by 8.1 percent more than from January through November 2019.
The products and services worth 1.5 billion manat ($882 million) were produced in the sectors of production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and steam in Azerbaijan from January through November 2020, which is by eight percent more than in the same period of last year.
