Kazakh oil chemical plant expands range of export-designed products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec.27

Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant (PNHZ) JSC has started output of an export product - heavy gas oil used as a raw material for carbon black, which is in demand in many production fields, Trend reports referring to the company.

The output of heavy gas oil as a separate component is due to the possibility of its sale to the largest producer of carbon black in Russia and the CIS countries - Omsktekhuglerod LLC which submitted order for export of the oil product. The raw material for carbon black produced by PNHZ fully complies with the technical characteristics for its use by its partners from the Russian Omsk region.

On December 23, 2020, the first batch of 500 tons of heavy catalytic cracking gas oil was shipped to the consumer.

The feedstock for carbon black is produced from a component that was previously involved in the preparation of commercial fuel oil. The feedstock’s production for the carbon black allows to increase the profitability from oil refining for oil suppliers, as well as to improve the rate of oil refining depth.

Carbon black is in demand in the production of rubber products, the tire industry, in the production of plastics, paints and toners.
