Iran supplies several villages with water

As many as 137 villages in Iran's Markazi and Fars provinces were supplied with water at a cost of 1.07 trillion rials (about $25.5 million) today on January 5, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, 74 villages in the Markazi Province of Iran have been supplied with water at a cost of 318 billion rials (about $7.57 million).

"Thus, 29,200 people in the province are provided with drinking water," the report said.

Furthermore, 63 villages in Iran's Fars Province have been supplied with water at a cost of 753 billion rials (about $17.9 million), the report said.

According to the report, so, 31,500 people were provided with drinking water in the Fars Province.

"In addition, mechanisms have been put in operation in order to control Iran's electricity network, increase the security of the electricity network and control the situation with floods in Iran," the report said.
