By deploying the Center of Excellence for drilling, Spanish Repsol company can directly reduce non-productive time and, thus, reduce time of operations by 7 percent, the company told Trend.
Repsol is a global multi-energy provider that has assets across 34 countries. It is a major player in the Spanish electricity and gas market, and operates low-emissions electricity generation assets in addition to developing a wide range of renewable solar and wind energy projects.
“The production optimization projects are generating a 0.5 percent increase in Gross Production and a 20 percent increase in the time efficiency of the production specialists in the operated assets where they are deployed, in countries like Bolivia, Malaysia, and Libya,” the company said talking about the efficiency of its digitalization program.
As for the industrial sector, the company said more than 90 initiatives underway are generating a consolidated impact of $0.4/bbl through improved planning processes, automation of operations, and improved asset reliability.
“On the other hand, we have improved the main plant processes through mobile applications that are used daily by more than 2,000 operators in our facilities, thus improving safety and coordination of activities,” said the company.
Repsol currently has about 150 software robots in operation that process 100,000 records / operations (contracts, invoices, assets, etc.) every year. “We are committed to the use of the Cloud, with more than 2500 servers already deployed in this infrastructure.”
