SOCAR completes crucial project at Mozyr refinery, gets more orders (PHOTO)

SOCAR Construction, subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, has completed the installation of a hydrocracking unit at Mozyr oil refinery, the second largest refinery in Belarus, Trend reports citing the company.

The installation work at the Complex for hydrocracking of heavy oil residues, one of the major units of Mozyr refinery, commenced in August 2019.

SOCAR Construction carried out a full range of works on installation of technological pipelines, including pre-assembly, installation, heat treatment, installation of pipeline fittings, non-destructive testing of welded joints, painting, hydraulic and pneumatic tests.

More than 13 km of technological pipelines (including equipment) from various types of materials were installed. The number of welded joints was over 46,000 (WDI-70,000). Installation and assembly of more than 5000 units of valves and fittings has been completed.

SOCAR Construction received an additional order for thermal insulation works for the Mozyr refinery.

Moreover, SOCAR Construction team will be hired by the Irkutsk Oil Company for a project to develop the Markovo field.
