Kazakhstan decreases petroleum oils export to Lithuania amid COVID-19

Kazakhstan has exported 84,496 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 23.3 million euros to Lithuania in October 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 1.5 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 500.6 million euros to Romania from Jan. through Oct.2020.

Thus, the October volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Lithuania is 50.8 percent less than in volume compared to September 2020 (171,800 tons) and is 13.8 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (98,061 tons).

October's export value is also 58.4 percent less than in September 2020 (56.1 million euros) and is 53.08 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (49.6 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Lithuania amounted to $418.2 million over the first ten months of 2020, compared to $304.1 million during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Lithuania amounted to $327.09 million over the period from January through Oct. 2020, compared to $236.9 million during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Lithuania amounted to nearly $91.1 million over the reporting period, compared to $67.1 million during the same period of 2019.
