By Leman Zeynalova – Trend:

Overall processing and export capacity for gas, including Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) associated gas of Sangachal terminal is around 105 million standard cubic metres per day as of 2020, Trend reports citing BP’s data.

A look at the previous statistics shows that the processing and export capacity for gas of the terminal has more than doubled since 2014.

This figure stood at 49.3 million standard cubic metres per day in 2014, 2015 and 2016 each, then rising to around 50 million standard cubic metres per day in 2017.

In 2018, this volume increased to 75 million standard cubic metres per day, keeping on rising to 100 million standard cubic metres in 2019.

The daily capacity of the terminal’s processing systems is currently 1.2 million barrels of crude oil and condensate, and about 85 million standard cubic metres of Shah Deniz gas.

Gas is exported via the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), the South Caucasus Pipeline expansion system and via SOCAR gas pipelines connecting the terminal’s gas processing facilities with Azerigas’s national grid system.
