SOCAR Ukraine, subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR is among the main suppliers of Polish gasoline to Ukraine as of January 2021, Trend reports.

The volume of transportation from PNK ORLEN Oil Refinery, Poland, to Ukraine have decreased by 45.7 percent (9,300 tons) to 11,200 tons in January 2021, primarily due to lower purchases by OKKO. It imported a total of 100 tons of gasoline in January 2021, versus 10,100 tons in the same period in 2019, Ukrainian media reports.

The major suppliers of Polish gasoline to Ukraine in January 2021 were SOCAR Ukraine with 2,400 tons, followed by Amic Ukraine (2,000 tons), Glusco Ukraine (1,900 tons) and WOG (1,600 tons).

Imports of motor gasoline to the Ukrainian market in January 2021 increased by 28 percent and stood at 88,800 tons, compared to 69,300 tons in the same period of 2019.

Such a significant increase in supplies was achieved as a result of boosting imports from Belarus by 60 percent compared to January 2020.

The largest suppliers of Belarusian gasoline were OKKO and WOG with 25,800 tons (an increase of 2.5 times) and 13,600 tons (an increase of 33 percent), respectively.
