Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. prioritizes local producers

Iran's Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company attaches importance to the production of various products, spare parts, equipment, chemicals, and catalysts by the local producers, the production manager of the company Mohammad Reza Soleimanzadeh said in 2nd conference on support to domestic production, Trend reports citing the Shana news agency.

According to Soleimanzadeh, after the conference, 70 contracts worth about 40 trillion rials (about $952 million) will be signed between the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Iranian companies and startups.

The manager added that nearly 5 trillion rials (about $119 million) worth of contracts was signed with local companies after the 1st conference on support to domestic production in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, to March 20, 2020). More than half of these contracts have been implemented.

As reported, the 2nd conference and exhibition on support to domestic production in the petrochemical industry of Iran started yesterday and will continue for 3 days. The conference and exhibition were attended by more than 200 representatives of startups, equipment manufacturers, petrochemical companies, banks, and financial institutions.
