Azerbaijan exported 416,933 tons of crude oil worth over $137.8 million to Spain in January 2021, Trend reports on Feb.22 referring to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the bulletin, in the reporting month, the total volume of Azerbaijan’s oil export was more than 4 million tons, up by 0.7 percent over the year, while the total export value – over $1.3 billion (30 percent decrease compared to January last year). The share of Spain in the crude oil exports of Azerbaijan amounted to 10.4 percent.
Meanwhile, trade turnover between the two countries made up $144.1 million, the expenses of Azerbaijan for export to Spain - $138.5 million, and for importing Spanish products – over $5.5 million, said the bulletin.
In 2020, trade turnover between them exceeded $427.3 million, of which $329.2 million fell on export from Azerbaijan to Spain, and slightly over $98 million – on import of Spanish products by Azerbaijan.
