Kazakhstan boosts petroleum gases exports to EU countries

Kazakhstan has exported 19.6 million kg of petroleum gas and other gaseous hydrocarbons worth to EU countries to 7.3 million euros in November 2020, a Eurostat representative told Trend.

In turn, overall petroleum gas and other gaseous hydrocarbons export from Kazakhstan to EU countries amounted to 145.2 million kg worth 52.5 million euros over the period from Jan. through Nov. 2020.

Thus, compared to October 2020 the export volume increased by 66.6 percent (11.7 million kg), whereas compared to January 2020 the volume increased by 22.1 percent (16.08 million kg).

The value of petroleum gas and other gaseous hydrocarbons export from Kazakhstan to EU countries was 80.4 percent more than in October 2020 (4.05 million euros), and 3 percent less than in January 2020 (7.5 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and EU countries amounted to $22.3 billion over the first 11 months of 2020, compared to $28.9 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to EU countries amounted to $16.8 billion over the period from January through Nov. 2020, compared to $22.8 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from EU countries amounted to nearly $5.5 billion over the reporting period, compared to $6.06 billion during the same period of 2019.
