Iran to provide water for more villages in seven of its provinces

As many as 400 villages in 7 provinces of Iran will be supplied with water today on March 9, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, a total of 3.02 trillion rials (about $71.9 million) was spent on water supplying to the villages.

“So, 8 villages in Gilan Province, 73 villages in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, 37 villages in Razavi Khorasan Province, 34 villages in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, 110 villages in Isfahan Province, 42 villages in Khuzestan Province and 96 villages in Kerman Province will be supplied with water. Thus, a total of 224,000 people will be provided with water,” the report said.

Moreover, 593 km of water pipelines were laid, 775 km of water pipelines were repaired, water reservoirs with a capacity of 35,600 cubic meters and pumping stations with the pumping capacity of 365 liters and 714 liters of water per second were built in direction to water supplying, the report said.
