Three oil platforms are being built in Iran's Bandar Abbas shipyard, the Executive Director of Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Company, Hamid Rezaian Asl said in a press conference, Trend reports citing the IRNA.
The director stressed that there is currently 50-percent progress in the construction of these platforms.
Rezaian Asl added that each of these platforms can produce 25,000 barrels of crude oil per day.
According to him, each platform volume between 1400 and 1700 tons and will be installed, 40 kilometers from Hengam Island.
Rezaian Asl noted that the construction of these platforms is estimated to be completed within next year.
“Previously, these oil platforms were produced abroad. At present, the platforms are being built by the Iranian specialists on the basis of international standards,” he said.
