The first boiler unit was commissioned at the Uzbekistan GTL plant and steam production began, Trend report with reference to the press service of Uzbekistan GTL.
According to the information, to date, the project on construction of the Uzbekistan GTL plant in the Kashkadarya region is at its final stage. The overall project progress amounts to 95 percent.
It is noted that construction and installation work of the plant is being completed, landscaping is being actively carried out, asphalt laying has begun, painting and insulation works are continuing.
Also, pre-commissioning works, as well as testing of pipelines and equipment, are carried out in the technological zones of the plant. Today, more than 9,500 people continue to work at the construction site and more than 500 units of equipment are involved.
On March 18, 2021, the first boiler unit at the Uzbekistan GTL plant was commissioned with the participation of the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC and steam production began.
It is reported that the generated steam will be used for the technological and production needs of the plant. In addition, steam turbine generators will soon be put into operation at the plant, thanks to which the plant will start producing its own electricity.
Earlier Uzbekistan GTL completed works on the installation and chemical cleaning of boiler feed water pipelines for the commissioning of the plant's boiler plants.
