Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit puts repaired oil, gas wells back into operation

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 7

By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Divisions of Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern are stepping up the use of oil and gas wells repaired with plastic pipes, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gaz electronic newspaper.

Since the beginning of 2021, 142 wells have been repaired and put back into operation. In particular, the number of wells commissioned is 26 more than the planned number.

The use of wells that have stopped the return of products contributes to the increase in the volume of hydrocarbon production in Turkmennebit, the report said.

As reported, Turkmenistan’s Nebitgazchykarysh trust of the Turkmennebit State Concern is working to increase the volume of oil production, overhaul and commissioning of wells.

The trust put into operation 84 wells instead of the planned 78 in two months of 2021. Also, during this period, the resulting increase in oil production amounted to 9,709 tons, instead of the planned 7,670 tons.

During the two months of this year, 102 wells were repaired, of which 84 were put into operation.

As a result of the commissioning of restored unproductive wells, the trust's drillers provided an increase in oil production in the amount of 300 tons in 2020.
