Kazakhstan records decrease in oil output

The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 21.1 million tons from January through March 2021, which is 10.4 percent less than during the same months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 0.1 percent compared to the reporting period of 2020.

Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 31.6 million tons, which is 14.4 percent more compared to the reporting months of 2020. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 1.2 million tons (decrease by 1.1 percent).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 2.1 million tons, which is 17.7 percent more than during the same period of 2020. Manufacturing of flat metal was 0.7 million tons (increase by 26 percent), of gasoil to 1.1 million tons (corresponds to the last year’s volume), of electricity to 31 billion kWh (increase by 3.2 percent).

The manufacturing of food, beverages, tobacco and wood products, rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products, the chemical, metallurgical and mechanical industries increased during the reporting period of 2021 compared to 2020. The production of crude oil, natural gas, and metal ores has decreased.
