The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has recently implemented investment projects in Turkey for more than $13 billion, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said.
Abdullayev made the statement at a meeting with Turkish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral, Trend reports referring to a source in the company.
He thanked Ozoral for his contribution to the development of relations between the two countries and wished him success in his future activities.
Besides, he pointed out that most of SOCAR's assets are located in Turkey.
The company’s president further said that in recent years the company has implemented a large volume of investment projects.
According to him, SOCAR constantly supports strategic projects implemented by Turkey, and, if necessary, the brotherly country is provided with expert support.
During the meeting, the parties also held a detailed exchange of views on expanding economic cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan and the role of SOCAR in this process.
