By Jeila Aliyeva - Trend:

Turkmenistan's Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries intends to launch the production of Jet A-1 aviation fuel, which is the European equivalent of TS-1 aviation fuel (main jet fuel grade available in Russia, CIS states), Trend reports with reference to the electronic newspaper Nebit-Gaz.

Jet A-1 undergoes additional hydrotreatment, it contains antistatic and stabilizing additives, it is environmentally safer, and the flash point is 10 degrees higher.

In general, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries is steadily increasing the volume of processing of oil raw materials.

Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries produced 34,857 tons of kerosene from the beginning of 2021 till the end of February 2021, which is 111 tons more than initially planned.

Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries exceeded the plan for oil refining in 2020.

The plan for oil refining in the reporting period was exceeded by 1.7 percent, the production of gasoline of various brands-by 4.5 percent, diesel fuel - by 4.4 percent, polypropylene - by 2.2 percent.

Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries implements consistent measures to introduce digital technologies. Further introduction of new technologies in the framework of the modernization of the complex is aimed at a complete transition to the development of environmentally friendly motor gasoline and diesel fuel that meets the Euro-5 standard.

The digital transformation of its production continues – systems for collecting, processing, displaying, and archiving information about monitoring and management objects are being introduced.

Also, Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries will increase the depth of oil refining from 86 percent to 92 percent.

The increase in depth will put the complex on a par with the world leaders in oil refining.
The launch of a new delayed coking and tar deasphalting unit at the complex will help to increase the oil refining coefficient.
