New facility to be put into operation in Iran’s electricity sector

A new national dispatch center for Iran's electricity network will be put into operation tomorrow on May 11, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Iran.

According to the report, a total of 11.4 trillion rials (about $272 million) was spent on the construction of the dispatch center.

“Iran also planned to supply electricity to 10,000 villages in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022). It will cost 30 trillion rials (about $714 million). As many as 560 villages will be supplied with electricity tomorrow under this plan. A total of 1.7 trillion rials (about $40.4 million) was spent in this regard,” the report said.

In addition, 20,000 movable solar panels are planned to be supplied to 20,000 nomadic families in Iran over the current Iranian year. In total, 2 trillion rials (about $47.6 million) will be spent in this regard. Within the plan, 3,000 solar panels at a cost of 300 billion rials (about $7.14 million) will be supplied to 3,000 families tomorrow, the report said.
