Kazakhstan's oil output below plan for 4M2021

Kazakhstan has produced 28.1 million tons of oil and gas condensate from Jan. through Apr. 2021, which is 0.6 percent less than the plan for the period, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev said, Trend reports citing the ministry.

Nogayev said that 9 million tons of the volume were extracted at Tengiz oil and gas field (0.1 percent above the plan), 4.9 million tons at Kashagan field (meets the plan), and 4 million tons at Karachaganak field (3.7 percent less than the plan).

The oil export stood at 22.1 million tons over the first four months of 2021, which also meets the plan for the reporting period.

Furthermore, 18.1 billion cubic meters of gas were produced in Kazakhstan over the first four months of 2021, which also meets the plan for the reporting period. Domestic gas consumption reached 7.8 billion cubic meters, which is 10 percent more than the plan.

Production of liquefied petroleum gas amounted to 1.07 million tons, which is 2.3 percent more than the plan for the reporting period. During the reporting period, 4.1 billion cubic meters of gas were also exported, which is 5.4 percent more than the plan.
