Kazakhstan boosts petroleum oil exports to France

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 18

Kazakhstan has exported 665,749 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 230.07 million euros to France in February 2021, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s exported 1.2 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 423.9 million euros to France over the period from Jan. through Feb. 2021.

Thus, the February volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to France is 11.6 percent more than in volume compared to January 2021 (596,202 tons) and is 2.3 times more than in Jan. 2020 (197,514 tons).

February’s export value is also 19.4 percent more than in January 2021 (193.1 million euros) and is 1.3 times more than in Jan. 2020 (96.5 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to $518.05 million in January 2021, compared to $227.8 million during the same period of 2020.

Kazakhstan’s export to France amounted to $135.9 million in January 2021, compared to $198.8 million during the same period of 2020.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from France amounted to nearly $382.09 million over the reporting period, compared to $29 million during the same period of 2020.
