The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 35.4 million tons from January through May 2021, which is 7.8 percent less than during the same months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 0.4 percent compared to the reporting period of 2020.
Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 52.5 million tons, which is 18.2 percent more compared to the reporting months of 2020. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 1.9 million tons (increase by 4.4 percent).
Manufacturing of Portland cement was 4.7 million tons, which is 25.5 percent more than during the same period of 2020. Manufacturing of flat metal was 1.2 million tons (increase by 27.4 percent), of gasoil to 1.9 million tons (up by 5.4 percent), of electricity to 48.9 billion kWh (increase by 5.5 percent).
The production of food, beverages, tobacco, rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products, chemical and pharmaceutical products, the metallurgical industry and mechanical engineering increased over the reporting period of 2021 compared to 2020. The production of coal, crude oil and natural gas has declined.
