The department of Turkmenistan’s Turkmengaz State Concern produced about 5.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through May 2021, with 40 percent of growth rate compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to Nebit-Gaz electronic newspaper.
Gas production amounted to 907 million cubic meters in May 2021.
From January through May 2021, the department manufactured more than 20,700 tons of gas condensate.
Also, in the reporting period, the department repaired 17 idle wells, which provided additional natural gas production.
Turkmenistan exceeded the plan in the field of oil and gas condensate production, as well as oil refining from January through May 2021.
During the reporting period, the plan for the production of gasoline was exceeded by 12.8 percent, diesel fuel-by 0.3 percent, polypropylene - by 18.8 percent, liquefied gas – by 15.5 percent, natural and associated gas production - by 16 percent.
Meanwhile, the plan for gas exports was exceeded by 23.7 percent in the specified period, and the development of investments in this sector – by 17.7 percent from January through May 2021.
